About Me

Rachel Campbell wears many hats. With her Master’s in Pan-African Studies from Syracuse University, she works at Willow Domestic Violence Center in their Human Resources Department and also serves as an Adjunct Professor for SUNY Brockport’s African/African-American Studies Department. On weekends during the Spring and Summer, she is a grassroots urban farmer who founded Rich Roots 585 Inc. Rich Roots 585 Inc. brings Black and Brown Rochesterians into the practice of food and land stewardship, sustainability, and historical preservation through their garden projects, research, and education, in partnership with SUNY Brockport and Food Link. Rachel represents Rochesterians on the Rochester Food Policy Council as a community member, & Urban Agricultural Working Group as an urban gardener. Rachel is a Dog Mom.
